Madison County Schools Recognition:

The students and teachers have received numerous awards and honors over the years. The Madison Central Band placed first in the state in Class 3A. The Madison Central Land Judging Team placed first in the state. The Madison Central Football Team placed in the Elite 8.in the state and runner up in the region. The Madison Central Kentucky Tech Mock Trial Team placed second in the state. A Silver Creek student won first place in a state technology competition. A Madison Central student was named a National Merit Semi-Finalist. Madison Central marketing teacher David Silver was named Kentucky Marketing Teacher of The Year. Several students were selected to All State Band and All State Chorus. The Clark-Moore and Madison Southern academic teams placed in the top at regional competitions. Our high school and middle school cheerleaders placed in the top in the state and regional competitions. The Madison Southern Science Olympiad Team placed first in a regional competition. The DECA and VICA organizations at the High School have several first, second and third place wins at regional and state competitions. A student placed first in the region in Track & Field. The Madison County School District was named one of the Best 100 Communities for Music Education in America for 2004. This is just a partial list of the many accomplishment of the students and staff.
